Obviously, we’ve been working on updating paperpetual.com. The layout is completely different, but the site itself is undergoing a huge update. In the past this website has been just a few static pages, working primarily as an anchor for Paperpetual’s four artist portfolio sub-sites (christiane.paperpetual.com, jessica.paperpetual.com, franz.paperpetual.com, and kelsey.paperpetual.com). As artists who like to keep our fans (or friends, or parents, or random googlers) updated on our most recent work, these sub-sites will always be the most important aspect of Paperpetual.com. But the fact that we’re friends and collaborators makes Paperpetual.com a wonderful, communal outlet.
As you can see, there are a few navigation links to choose from:
- About, as anybody would guess, offers a little explanation about Paperpetual itself.
- Artists is the section that will house bios of the Paperpetual artists, as well as occasionally updated examples of recent work.
- Print&Press offers information and portfolio examples from Paperpetual Print & Press. Paperpetual Print & Press is the printmaking and letterpress collaboration between Christiane Moore and Jessica Swaysland. While certain current studio limitations and geographical distance have slowed the output of Paperpetual Print & Press, this will eventually be resolved!
- How Tos is a new brainchild of the Paperpetual artists. Wanting a place to share little tidbits of direction and suggestion and advice, this section was created! Basically, slowly but surely, this section will be updated with articles and pictures and diagrams and videos that teach/demonstrate something.
- The Store section is where the four Paperpetual artists will be posting priced artwork that can be purchased! That section is similarly in its beginning stages, and eventually it will be tied-in with either Paypal or Etsy or both.
- And lastly there’s Contact, where you can find all of our contact information.
Hopefully this will make for a more interactive and collaborative website!
Which was sort of the initial Paperpetual idea. Maybe someday it will turn into something even cooler, like an artist commune or a restaurante or a Disco or a cult. But here it is for now!
And, of course, bear with us as we try our best to make everything look/work beautifully!
